The Arts Society South Devon is one of over 300 member societies of The Arts Society.

The South Devon Society was founded in 1977 and currently has around 250 members living in Plymouth and the surrounding area. Our aim is to inform and interest people through the appreciation and study of decorative and fine arts including painting and painters, music and musicians, literature, furniture, mosaics, and architecture from around the world, through an extensive lecture and visit programme. We also provide the opportunity for children and young people to become involved in creative art activity through Young Arts and Children's Trail projects and for members of all ages, the opportunity, to become involved with heritage and conservation projects.
